Research Interests: sensory processing, structure and function of neuronal circruit

Our lab is interestred in understanding the relationship between the structure and function of neuronal network. By combining the state-of-art brain mapping technique and in vivo electrophysiology and functional imaging, it enables us to correlate the functional and structural properties of individual neurons. Using mouse visual cortex as model, we are trying to study how the refined network structure meets the enormous computational capability demanded by sensory processing. We hope that our work will shed some light on the general rules of brain network organization.
