From September 26 to 28, 2020, the School of Nursing successfully hosted the online "International Nursing Academic Conference" to promote the cooperation, exchange and development of nursing disciplines under the haunting Covid-19 Pandemic. Sixteen experts and scholars from the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and China shared the latest researchings. Nearly 500 nursing workers from home and abroad gathered to participate in the online conference. Prof.CHEN Jianguo, vice president of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Dean of Tongji Medical College, and Madam CHEN Jie, Deputy Director of International Exchange Office, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
Prof. MAO Jing, Dean of School of Nursing, delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony. Covid-19 pandemic has been paid laborious efforts by all the nursing staff in the world. Prof. MAO hopes the peers could share the experience and achievements of nursing clinical and nursing education through this online International Conference, and work together to promote nursing education reform and innovation.
Prof. CHEN Jianguo extended a warm welcome to the guests and briefly introduced the contribution made by Huazhong University of Science and Technology in combating the Covid-19 pandemic. Prof. CHEN stressed that, for the post-pandemic reform and development of medical education, we should pay more attention to the cultivation of "compound" talents, deepen the "cooperation of medical education", highlight "popular science of health for all", and strengthen international cooperation to jointly protect the lives and health of people globally, and build a community of shared health for mankind.

Professor Nancy Reynolds and Binu Koirala, Associate Dean of School of Nursing, Johns Hopkins University; Professor Sean Clarke, Professor Bei Wu and Professor Tara Cortes, Associate Dean of School of Nursing, New York University; Professor Janelle Yorke, Professor Catherine Haven and Michelle, Christie Cancer Center, UK Professor Emily ang Neo Kim, Dean of School of Nursing, National University of Singapore, Prof.JIANG Xiaoying, President of China Nursing (Journal), Prof. WU Xinjuan, President of China Nursing Association, Prof. Wu Ying, Dean of Nursing School of Capital Medical University, and Prof. SUN Hongyu, Secretary General of College Nursing Education Instruction Committee of Ministry of Education and Prof. of Nursing School of Peking University, etc., have made clinical nursing studies on heart failure management, population aging, social isolation under the Covid-19 Pandemic and personnel training. In the conference, the hot spots and key issues of education were exchanged and shared, which brought a wonderful academic feast to the participants.
