22nd April,HUST-SPBU Joint Faculty Symposium has been successfully held in School of Medicine and Health Management, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. This symposium was organized by the joint efforts of Faculty of Sociology in St Petersburg State University and our School of Medicine and Health Management. It was held via both online and offline approaches. During the symposium, 8 experts from both sides presented their latest research, and more than 40 participants has joined online. Dr. ZHANG Wei is the host.

Prof. TAO Hongbing, Deputy Dean of School of Medicine and Health Management, has made the opening remarks. He featured on their recent highlights of talent training, faculty exchange and scientific research in Health Information Management, and proposed the promising future close collaborations in healthcare service innovation and digital health service management. Prof. DUDINA Victoria from St. Petersburg State University further added the shared research interests of both sides, and showed great interests for substantial collaborations in digital health research.

This symposium has two sections. Section 1 is on Smart Technology-based health communication, and 4 faculties from both sides have delivered their speech, including Associate Professor SERGEYEVA Olga (SPBU), Associate Professor PANKRATOVA Liliia (SPBU), and Prof. MA Jingdong (HUST) and Dr. ZHANG Wei (HUST). Section 2 is on Data in Everyday Life, and 4 faculties both sides have delivered their speech, including Prof. DUDINA Victoria (SPBU), Associate Professor BOGOMIAGKOVA Elena(SPBU), and Prof. LIU Zhiyong(HUST) and Associate Professor Shen Lining(HUST). For the discussion, each section has invited two panelists, including Associate Professor BOYARKINA Saniya from the Russian Academy of Sciences, GLUKHOVA Maria, a doctoral student from European University, Professor TANG Xuri from School of Foreign Languages, HUST and Associate Professor WANG Yanrong from School of Sociology, HUST.
At last, Dr. ZHANG Wei thanked the participants and announced closure of the joint symposium. Professor DUDINA Victoria said that the faculty exchange has really promoted the understanding of both sides, and laid a solid foundation for further cooperation.
