On May 10, 2023, Professor Mônica Viegas Andrade, School of Economics, Federal University of Minas Gerais visited School of Medicine and Health Management. Prof. Jingdong Ma, Prof. Zhiyong Liu, Prof. Yinghuan Hu, Assoc Prof. Juyang Xiong, Assoc Prof. Yan Zhang, Assoc Prof. Wei Zhang and Dr. Xing Li has participate the meeting. Prof. Wei Zhang has moderated the meeting.

Prof. Jingdong Ma delivered a welcome speech, followed by a brief introduction of School of Medicine and Health Management. Then, Prof. Mônica Viegas Andrade presented an overview of the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, introduced her research team on health economics, and proposed potential collaborative direction.Prof.Wei Zhang and Prof. Yan Zhang has introduced the faculty members and their main research interests in Department of Health Information Management and Department of Health Policy Management, respectively.

This meeting laid a solid foundation for potential cooperation between School of Medicine and Health Management, HUST and School of Economics, UFMG. In addition, it also demonstrates our strong international impact in health information management and health policy management, and initiates in-depth academic collaboration with Brazilian universities.
