On May 10, 2023, Professor Mônica Viegas Andrade from the School of Economics, Federal University of Minas Gerais, met PhD students in Health Information Management.

Assoc Prof. Wei Zhang expressed a warm welcome to Prof. Monica, and briefly introduced our PhD program and participants. Prof. Monica introduced her academic experience, and shared her research in health economics, health technology assessment, healthcare policy and healthcare service utilization. Then, the PhD students talked about their research experiences, academic backgrounds and research interests with Prof. Monica. They covered a wide range of topics, including machine learning, Health-related Quality of Life, equity and efficiency of health care resource allocation, and climate and health.

This exchange has broadened the horizon of our PhD students in Health Information Management, and laid solid foundations for future PhD exchange between both sides.
