24 May 2023,the 4th HUST Tongji Digital Health Salon has been successfully held by the joint efforts of School Medicine and Health Management(HUST) and Faculty of Computer Science (Dal).
Prof. Richard Evans, the Associate Professor from Faculty of Computer Science, Dalhousie University, has gave the talk on Digital Health in Canada. The panelist included Prof. Jingdong Ma (HUST), the Vice-Dean and Professor, School of Medicine and Health Management; Prof. Zhiyong Liu (HUST), the Professor in Health Informatics; Prof. Lining Shen(HUST), the Professor in Health Informatics; Prof. Fei Xiang, the Associate Professor in Health Informatics, and Prof. Yinghuan Hu (HUST), the Professor of Health Management. Prof. Wei Zhang (HUST), the Associate Professor in Medical Informatics has moderated the lecture.

During the talk, Prof. Richard first introduced his research team on digital innovation in Dalhousie University, Canada and ongoing research projects, and then he presented the digital health practice in Canada, followed vivid demonstration of recent digital health innovation practice. Finally, he summarized the future direction of global digital health. In the discussion, the participants have further exchange ideas on the design, implementation and governance of digital health in both countries.

Prof. Wei Zhang has summarized that digital health has become an indispensable solution to meet increasing healthcare demands across the world, more efforts are desired to digital health governance. This salon has enlightened the participants in national digital health, and laid solid foundation for further international collaborations.
