In order to build an international collaboration brand and enhance the internationalization of educational capabilities, with the support of the 'International Research Collaboration Platform Cultivation Program' sponsored by Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the School of Health Administration at Tongji Medical College, HUST, successfully organized a series of online academic lectures as part of the programs cultivated by International Research Collaboration Platform.
On the morning of August 23rd, Prof. FU Qiang, Director of the Community Health Department at Tufts University College of Arts and Sciences in the United States, delivered a special lecture on "Multilevel Regression Models" for the faculty and students of our college. The event was hosted by Prof. ZHANG Zhiguo from the School of Health Administration at Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Prof. SHEN Lining, Associate Prof. XU Juan, Associate Prof. XIONG Juyang, as well as over 100 faculty and students from Wuhan University, Shandong University, China Pharmaceutical University, Hangzhou Normal University, and other institutions attended the lecture.
Prof. FU Qiang has previously led and participated in several research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and various foundations. His research findings have been widely published in numerous internationally renowned academic journals.
During the lecture, Prof. FU Qiang shared insights on various aspects related to multilevel data, including what multilevel data is, why it's important to emphasize multilevel data, the research focus and design of multilevel regression models. Additionally, he provided detailed explanations of the steps and results of analyzing multilevel data using SAS through two practical application examples.
This lecture enriched students' understanding and awareness of multilevel regression models, broadened the knowledge base and professional skills for research among faculty and students in our college, enhanced the academic atmosphere, and ignited scholarly interests among both faculty and students. It will contribute to our college's further exploration of cutting-edge academic research.
