The School of Pharmacy at Tongji Medical College of HUST, in collaboration with Simcere Pharmaceutical Group, inaugurated its 2025 workshop series with a seminar focused on elevating research capabilities among pharmacy professionals. Titled "Advancing Pharmaceutical Innovation: From Research to Clinical Impact," the event drew over 50 participants from across Hubei Province and beyond to explore cutting-edge trends in hospital pharmacy management and translational research.

Leadership Highlights Strategic Vision
In opening remarks, Vice President Prof. ZHANG Yonghui underscored pharmacy research as a "cornerstone of healthcare quality enhancement," while Prof. CHEN Gang, Vice President of Tongji Hospital stressed the urgency of bridging disciplinary expertise with real-world clinical applications. Prof. HUANG Rui, Chairman of School of Pharmacy, chaired the event.

Interactive Sessions Drive Practical Insights
The workshop featured two thematic tracks:

Building Momentum for Systemic Change
Adopting a "theory-case study-interactive dialogue" format, the seminar marked the launch of a year-long initiative to transition pharmacy services from passive support roles to proactive innovation drivers. Future workshops will address issues ranging from AI-enabled drug discovery to intellectual property commercialization.
