A delegation from the Department of Forensic Medicine, Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) visited the Institute of Forensic Science for a research and exchange tour, aiming to deepen cooperation and align educational efforts with industry needs.

The team, led by Party Secretary LI Jianru and Director Prof. XIONG Bo, toured the institute's facilities, observing cutting-edge technologies including virtual autopsy for 3D visualization of internal structures, advanced mass spectrometry for trace toxin detection, and non-human biological evidence analysis.
During the symposium, SHU Guohua, the Institute Director, welcomed the delegation and highlighted the long-standing partnership, noting that HUST has supplied the institute with many outstanding professionals. He called for deeper collaboration in interdisciplinary forensic science, talent development, technology transfer, and public science education.
LI Jianru proposed building three communities: a "community of faith" through joint Party-building initiatives, an "innovation community" through shared research platforms, and a "community of responsibility" through collaboration on complicated cases and joint research projects. XIONG Bo emphasized leveraging the institute's strengths to address regional capability gaps and improve talent development mechanisms.

Both sides agreed to advance their strategic cooperation and work together to build a talent and innovation hub in forensic science, contributing to the rule of law and judicial fairness.
