American Society of Hematology Selects Chao Fang Ph.D. to Receive the Global Research Award

(Wuhan, September 4th, 2019) –  The American Society of Hematology (ASH) announced that Chao Fang Ph.D., Professor of Pharmacology at Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, has been selected to receive the 2019 ASH Global Research Award. Dr. Fang is one of nine talented early-career investigators selected for this honor.

The ASH Global Research Award was designed to support future international scientific leaders, increase hematology capacity, and nurture global collaboration. The award is intended to support hematologists between completion of training and the establishment of their independent careers.

The nine researchers selected represent eight countries: Brazil, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ghana, Italy, Japan, and Uganda.

Dr. Fang will receive research support for his project to study the molecular mechanisms of thrombus formation.
