The project "The Role of EZH2 in Regulating Cell Autophagy and Hepatocarcinoma Cell Death" participated by undergraduate Tang Borui from Pediatrics Class 1801 was awarded the Excellence Award of the 2020 Exceptional Student Innovation Annual Conference of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The project is principally directed by Associate Professor Song Tanjing from Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and the student is tutored by Professor SunLidong from the same department.
The 2020 Innovation Annual Conference was held in Qiming College on the morning of December 20th. Ma Jianhui, deputy secretary of the University Committee , leaders from Office of Undergraduation Education, deans of several schools, tutors of exceptional students, and more than 300 representatives of exceptional students including 10 from our Grade 2019 and 2020 students attended the meeting.
The Annual Conference is held to promote investigative learning, initiative practice and create a multi-disciplinary education atmosphere, to strengthen the exemplary and leading role of exceptional students in value guidance. The Annual Innovation Conference collected 164 achievements including papers, competitions, surveys and other results from the 2019 exceptional students. Qiming College invited relevant experts grouped by subject to assess and review, and recommended 35 excellent works to participate in the exhibition of outstanding results 13 works were listed in Conference for post and interchange . At the report meeting, 16 students from different disciplines presented their innovation achievements and were reviewed at the conference. At last, projects were awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 7 excellence awards.
