The 6th “Seeking Truth Cup” college student extra-curricular academic technological project in HUST ended perfectly. The project named “Study on the economic burden due to the major diseases and the health strategies to alleviate poverty of residents in Hubei province”, which was coached carefully by Professor Fang Pengqian and accomplished by eight undergraduate together (Lin Kunhe, Xiong Xinyu, Huang Tiantian, Han Meng, Li Xianglin, Zhu Wenjun, Duan Zhonghong, He Wei).

The projects selected by our school are mainly to investigate the economic burden due to the major diseases situation of residents in Hubei province, to point out the key influencing factors, provide the basis and suggestions for government to put forward the strategies to alleviate poverty.

This competition was sponsored by HUST Committee, aiming to encourage students to take part in extra-curricular academic research activities, 57 projects were sent to the final competition after the preliminary competition and repechage.
