On April 10, Prof. Bei Wu from Rory Meyers School of Nursing at New York University was invited by School of Nursing to give lessons to graduate students with the topic “Nursing Leadership & Innovation” on the 4F of School of Nursing.

Prof. Jing Mao Dean of School of Nursing, Prof. Hui Wang Director of Nursing Department of Tongji Hospital, Prof. Tieying Zeng Vice-Director of Nursing Department of Tongji Hospital and graduate students from School of Nursing, Tongji Hospital and Union Hospital were invited to attend this lesson. This lesson was given in the form of “question & answer”. Firstly, Prof. Tieying Zeng raised a question “How should nursing management professionals exert leadership in order to achieve high efficiency management?”. Prof. Bei Wu replied that nursing management professionals should learn to guide nurses to exert their leadership so as to motivate patients’ treatment compliance. Then diseases would be treated efficiently. Our graduate students raised questions related to scientific research programs in nursing leadership and innovation. And all of the questions were answered with patience.

The construction of graduate core courses is one of the most important parts for School of Nursing to construct high level courses. We just hope that with those lessons given to graduate students, their scientific research minds will be inspired, so will their scientific research horizons be broadened.
