On January 19, 2019, Professor Liu Liang was elected as one of the “Top Ten Most Beautiful Legal Service Persons” in Wuhan. The commendation meeting was held in Jianghan Hall of Wuhan Convention Center. The leaders and guests from Wuhan Municipal Law Committee, Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Justice and Changjiang Daily attending the meeting. Guan Taibing, the director of the Wuhan Municipal Judicial Bureau, presented a certificate of honor to Professor Liu Liang.
Professor Liu Liang is currently a judicial appraiser of the Tongji Medicolegal Expertise Center in Hubei. He is a professor and doctoral tutor of the Department of Forensic Medicine of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is the former head of the Department of Forensic Medicine, the chairman of Wuhan Judicial Association. He is also a national-level laboratory qualification reviewer, and a proficiency testing expert from the Judicial Identification Science and Technology Research Institute of the Ministry of Justice. In 2009, The Tongji Medicolegal Expertise Center In Hubei, which he led, was commended by the Ministry of Justice as an advanced collective for national medicolegal expertise; In 2014, the identification document he participated in was awarded the first prize of the first “Song Ci Cup” National Excellent Judicial Appraisal Document. In 2016, he was named a CCTV rule of law figure. He used a scalpel to solve the difficult case. In his 35-year forensic career, the conclusion of the appraisal was impeccable. He used facts and evidence to explain the problem. He used his loyalty and wisdom to maintain professional dignity.
It is reported that the "most beautiful legal service person" column was jointly launched by the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Justice and the "Changjiang Daily" and "Wuhan Evening News", aiming to find grassroots legal service workers who are silently dedicated to the front line. In 2018, the column published a total of 24 candidates’ stories. These candidates include people's mediators, legal aid workers, forensic experts, community corrections workers, lawyers, notaries, and compulsory isolation drug abuse polices.
In January 2019, the “Top Ten Most Beautiful Legal Service Persons” in Wuhan were selected after the online voting and expert review. They used practical actions to interpret the new image of the legal service team in Wuhan and shaped the legal service brand familiar to the citizens and readers.
