On the afternoon of November 10th, the seminar on deepening the reform and development of graduate education of the Department of Forensic Medicine was successfully held in the multimedia classroom on the seventh floor of the department. Director Jifeng Jia guided the seminar on behalf of the graduate school. Xuemei Ren, secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Forensic Medicine, department director Daixin Huang, deputy director Yiwu Zhou, deputy secretary Haibo Qi, directors of various teaching and research sections, faculty representatives and some graduate students participated in the seminar. The activity was hosted by Xuemei Ren.

At the beginning of the meeting, Xuemei Ren introduced the purpose of the meeting, and also pointed out the importance of graduate education for national development, social needs, school construction and student training. She asked everyone to study hard, think positively, and speak freely.

Immediately afterwards, Yiwu Zhou, the deputy director in charge of graduate training, gave a document guidance. He led everyone to conduct detailed studies from the background of the document release, the school’s early learning situation, the school’s implementation plan for learning seminars, the spirit of the national graduate education conference.

Afterwards, the participants had a lively discussion on the 50 items of school graduate education.They pointed out that it is the right time for the school to initiate the research on the reform and development of graduate education at this time.On the basis of comprehensive self-study, all faculty and staff have fully realized the importance, urgency and necessity of graduate education reform.At the same time, everyone also put forward some opinions in combination with forensic graduate education and training, such as speeding up the exploration of the professional degree postgraduate training system, accelerating the construction of the "breaking five" graduate education training evaluation system, consolidating the party building of graduate students, accelerating the improvement of graduate dormitory conditions and optimizing the evaluation of scholarships and bursaries.

Representatives of graduate students also put forward their own views on the problems of the current graduate education system and the direction of future graduate education reform. They reflected that the current graduate education evaluation system is still relatively simple and lacks a comprehensive evaluation system. The pressure of scientific research and practice is still relatively large. They hope that the school can organize more stress-relief lectures and psychological counseling activities to help the student group rationally relieve the pressure,they also hope that the school can balance students' academic, scientific research and practice requirements within a reasonable range, and give students personalized training programs based on the characteristics of different majors.

In the end, Xuemei Ren summarized the event. She said that the problems reported by everyone today will become the key problems that the department plans to solve.She also hopes that everyone can continue to coordinate and cooperate to jointly contribute to the training of forensic medicine graduate students and the school's graduate education.
