On June 18, 2019, a delegation of teachers and students from Texas A&M University came to the Institute of Reproductive Health for a half-day exchange study. Director Professor Liao Aihua and some representatives of teachers and students attended the exchange meeting. The meeting was presided over by Associate Professor Xiao Xianjin.

  At 8 a.m., the delegation arrived at the Institute of Reproductive Health. Associate Professor Xiao Xianjin warmly welcomed the arrival of all delegations. After a brief introduction to activity arrangements, Professor Huang Xunbin, Professor Yuan Shuiqiao and Associate Professor Zhang Ling of the Institute of Reproductive Health conducted academic lectures and laboratory operation teaching in turn. With the theme of "what I konw about sino-American exchanges and corporation in the field of andrology", Professor Huang xunbin, shared with teachers and students the application of minimally invasive surgery for male infertility in clinical work in China, introduced scholars who have made outstanding contributions to Chinese and American male sciences and their related researches, and reported the research progress of male diseases in China. After the report, teachers and students were discussing and asking questions enthusiastically, expressing their great interests in the diagnosis and treatments of male diseases. After a short tea break, Professor Yuan Shuiqiao, with the theme of “The applications of microinjection in reproductive medicine”, shared with teachers and students  a detailed introduction to the development history of human infertility, assisted reproductive technology and its derivatives, and the application of microinjection technology in reproductive medicine. During a questioning session, students showed strong intrest in microinjection techniques.

  Later, Professor Yuan Shuiqiao led everyone to visit the laboratory of the institute and introduced it from research directions, achievements and future development planning. At 10: 00 a.m., Associate Professor Zhang Ling took "Experience: The Examination and Processing of Hunman Semin" as the theme to explain the experimental operation of human semen optimization processing. Students who participated in actual operations, better combined theory with practice, and effectively understood the clinical and scientific research needs of reproductive medicine. During the visit, teachers from both sides cooperated and combined with their professional knowledge of reproductive medicine to teach students heuristically, which truly embodies the characteristics of international teaching.

  After the visit, both teachers and students all said that they had benefited a lot from this visit. They expressed sincere gratitude and praises for the warm reception and the meticulous arrangement of international level teaching from theory to practice of our institute.
