On June 15, 2019, the 39th annual meeting of the American society for reproductive immunology, the world's most influential academic conference on reproductive immunology, was held in grand rapids, Michigan, USA. Professor Aihua Liao, Professor Huiping Zhang, Doctor Kai Zhao and Dcotor Chunyan Liu from the institute of reproductive health participated in the conference.

 Professor Aihua Liao won the distinguished contribution award

This conference is divided into 14 topics, covered the hot spots and focus the issues in the field of reproductive immunity. It attracted experts and scholars from many countries and regions around the world. Professor Aihua Liao reported "Expression and localization of PD-1 and PD-L1 in mouse testes" in the topic of "male reproductive immunity", which clarified the expression distribution of PD-1 and PD-L1 in testis of mice at different stages of development, and revealed the potential role of PD-1 and PD-L1 in mouse testicular immunity. The team identified the expression of star molecules PD-1 and PD-L1 in mouse testicles for the first time, which also revealed the expansion of PD-1 and PD-L1 signaling pathway in maternal and fetal interface immune function. The report was widely concerned by the international counterparts and a heated discussion was held at the conference.

In the poster communication session, professor Aihua Liao carried out face-to-face communication on the latest research results respectively, which attracted international peers to come for discussion. The scientific discussion continued after the deadline for the poster presentation.

On the evening of June 15th, the last award was announced mysteriously. Professor Aihua Liao was the only recipient of the "outstanding contribution award", the highest award of this annual conference.
