From November 13 to 16, 2019, the 14th international conference on reproductive immunology and the 34th annual Japanese conference on reproductive immunology were held at Nara Kasugano International Forum ~I・RA・KA~ in Nara city, Japan. Professor Aihua Liao, professor Huiping Zhang, associate professor Donghui Huang, Dr. kai Zhao, Dr. Chunyan Liu and doctoral students Xiaohui Hu, Zunpan Fan and Liling Wang attended the conference.
Prof. Shigeru Saito, President of the 14th international conference of reproductive immunology and Prof. Hiroshi Kobayashi, President of the 34th annual meeting of Japanese reproductive immunology (nara medical university, Japan) addressed the opening ceremony of the conference respectively on November 13.
Doctoral Xiaohui Hu make an oral presentation in the competition for young scholars, doctoral students Zunpan Fan and Liling Wang gave poster communications in the meeting on November 14. We conducted extensive exchanges with the representatives in this meeting and made agreements on in-depth exchange and cooperation with scholars from Harvard University, Brown university and the University of Giessen.
The 14th reproductive immunology society award ceremony was held on November 15, Xiaohui Hu received the young scholar award of excellence.
The International Conference on Reproductive Immunology is held every three years, which is the most influential event in the field of reproductive immunology. The meeting invited Professor Shimon Sakaguchi, the discoverer of regulatory T cells, to give a keynote speech. The conference covered the hot and difficult topics in the field of reproductive immunology. More than 60 experts from all over the world gave lectures and shared their latest research progress on 16 topics, including "New immunological Approaches for Diagnosis and Therapy of Pregnancy Complications and Infertility, Preeclampsia, Male Infertility:Includes Contraception and Vaccines, Immunometabolism and its Impact on Reproduction, Autophagy, Immunity&Pregnancy, Gut microbiome and Adverse Pregnancy, Immunological Tolerance at the Maternal-Fetal Interface, Infectious Immunity in Pregnant or Non-pregnant Women, Endometriosis, Recurrent Pregnancy Loss, Inflammation and Preterm Birth, etc.” In addition, the meeting has 2 oral reports of international young scholars and 1 oral report of Japanese young scholars on reproductive immunity.
