On 21 September to 30 September, at the invitation of Professor Aihua Liao of the Institute of Reproductive Health, the Director of Science, Centre for Human Growth and Development, Wayne State University, the current President Gil Mor Professor of the American Society of Reproductive Immunity and the Director of Reproductive Immunity and Obstetrics, Rosalind Franklin Medical College, the President of the International Society of Reproductive Immunity and the Editor-in-Chief Joanne Kwak-Kim Professor of the Journal of Reproductive Immunology, delivered an eight-day Basic &Clinical Reproductive Immunology》 International Course to our teachers and students through an online platform. With rigorous academic attitude and profound professional knowledge, the two professors explain the basic and clinical reproductive immunity. Students actively communicate with professors through online platform, the curriculum atmosphere is active, academic atmosphere is strong.

  Professor Gil Mor systematically taught the basic theory of immunity and reproduction, focusing on the immunology of embryo implantation, the immunology of maternal-fetal interactive dialogue, infection and pregnancy. Professor Joanne Kwak-Kim focuses on the relationship between NK cells, T cells, negative costimulatory signaling molecules PD-1/PD-L1、 vitamin D and repeated abortion, repeated embryo implantation failure, and how to carry out immune intervention to address the immune imbalance caused by these factors in clinic. so that we can understand more thoroughly how to solve the problem of clinical immune infertility from the perspective of reproductive immunity.

  The international course attracted more than 50 students from the Institute of Reproductive Health and affiliated Hospital of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. After eight days of online communication and study, the students said that the course had gained a lot, not only to solve some of the puzzles in learning, to broaden their thinking, but also to understand the frontier knowledge of reproductive immunity and the latest clinical diagnosis and treatment plan. It is an academic baptism.
