On December 18, 2020, the “First Cross Forum for Young Scholars in Reproductive Health” hosted by the Institute of Reproductive Health (IRH), Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology was successfully held in the Academic Hall of Tongji Medical College. Professor Shuiqiao Yuan, the principle investigator of the team named “Spermatogenesis and Male Infertility”, hosted this forum.

        The forum invited twelve excellent young scholars from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, Huazhong Agricultural University and Institute of Hydrobiology and Chinese Academy of Sciences, including Professor Wang Wei from Tongji Medical College, Professor Xiao Rui and Jiang Kai from Medical Research Institute of Wuhan University, and Professor Wu Hao from School of animal science and technology, Huazhong Agricultural University et al.

        “The aim of this cross forum is to provide a platform for academic exchange and to prompt interdisciplinary cross, especially for the young scholars”, said by Professor Aihua Liao, (Dean of IRH) in the opening ceremony. All the speakers of the forum are vigorous post-80s generation, their research direction includes not only macroscopic functional genomics research, but also detailed molecular regulatory mechanism analysis. The warm atmosphere of academic exchange broadened the scientific vision and sparked the interests of audience.

        “This forum achieved better effect than expected, it not only provided an excellent exchange platform for young talents, but also contributed to the development of reproductive health in China, and I wish it will be held every year”, summarized by Professor Honggang Li (vice Dean of IRH) in the closing ceremony.
