ZHU Chuanhong graduated from the Department of Forensic Medicine, Tongji Medical University in June 1992. He taught himself DNA technology and set up a DNA laboratory. In September 2000, He was admitted to the Department of Forensic Medicine, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

He is one of the first group of forensic experts of the Ministry of Public Security Youth Talent Bank and one of the first group of "213" Talent Bank experts in Hubei Province. He was awarded the First Class Merit Award once, the Second Class Merit Award twice, the Third Class Merit Award twice, and was commended 7 times. Besides, he also won the national "advanced individual of public security science and technology"; "Public Security Science and Technology Expert with Outstanding Contribution" and "Public Security Science and Technology Model" in Hubei Province; Wuhan City's first "Ten Outstanding Youth of Science and Technology Entrepreneurship", "Model Worker", "Excellent Communist Party Member", Wuhan Public Security Bureau's "Fourth Top Ten Image Police", "Excellent Communist Party Model", "Model Worker Model" and so on. He has published more than 50 papers in various professional journals and magazines and participated in the compilation of 4 professional textbooks and reference books. Among them, Zhu Chuanhong undertook the task of writing more than 100,000 words of molecular biology technology in Practical Biohistology Technology (the textbook for medical colleges and universities in the 21st century), which has become the textbook for undergraduate and graduate students in medical colleges and universities. He also participated in the compilation of "Modern DNA Analysis Technology Theory and Method" organized by the Ministry of Public Security and wrote more than 150,000 chapters, which played a promoting role in the construction of DNA technology in courts nationwide.
