Academician WU Min is mainly engaged in research in cell biology, cytogenetics and oncology, and one of the founders of medical genetics in China.

Graduated from the Medical School of Tongji University in 1949.Professor of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, cytogenetics expert, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences.In 1961, he received a doctorate degree in medical science from the Soviet Academy of Medical Sciences. Professor of Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Oncology. In 1980, he was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He passed away in Peking Union Medical College Hospital on October 16, 2017, at the age of 91.
