Brief Introduction of College

The oral medicine of Tongji Medical College of HUST originated from 1952, and initialed the enrollment of undergraduate students with the establishment of the Department of Stomatology in 2003.   In September 2020, it became today's School of Stomatology, Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

The School of Stomatology is expanding quickly and putting a lot of effort into developing "Top-notch innovative staff in stomatology." Now it’s authorized with the National First-class Undergraduate Specialty Construction Site, the First-level Discipline Doctorate Authorization for Stomatology, and possesses some top-class teaching and research platforms including the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Base, Hubei Province Key Laboratory of Oral and Craniomaxillofacial Development and Regeneration. A few honorific titles are also bestowed upon it, such as Hubei Province Excellent Pri-mary-level Teaching Organizations. Stomatology was one of the best-ranked Chinese disciplines in the Shanghai Rankings in 2020, and it had an average grade of A- in the subject category of the Times Hi-gher Education World University Rankings for 2021.

It performs the roles of Standing Committee Member of Chinese Stomatological Doctor Association, Elect President of Chinese General Dentistry Society (CGDS), Vice President of Society of  Chine-se Dental Research Administration, Vice President of Chinese Orthodontic Society (COS), President of Hubei Stomatological Doctor Association, Vice President of Hubei Stomatological Association. Furthermore, it acts as Vice Editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Orthodontics, Editor-in-chief of Journal of Clinical Stomatology et al.

The Professional Direction Requirement for Candidatest

The main majors and research directions are basic stomatology, biochemistry and molecular biology, genetics, human anatomy and histoembryology, immunology, pathology and pathophysiology, materials science, materials processing engineering, etc.

1. Recruitment position

2. Recruitment requirements

(1) Good ideological and political quality, love the motherland, support the principles and policies of the Communist Party of China, have good conduct, observe law and discipline, and be physically and mentally healthy;

(2) Love higher education and experimental teaching works, abide by academic norms, rigorous governance, a strong sense of responsibility, love and dedication to work, unity and cooperation, love students, care for the collective, consciously maintain the reputation of the school, and have a good sense of service and communication skills;

(3) The general age requirement is under 35 years old (lecturer). If the academic achievements or educational experience are particularly outstanding, the years or academic qualifications and degree requirements may be appropriately relaxed;

(4) Have a doctorate degree from a well-known high-level university or research institution at home and abroad, and have more than 2 years of postdoctoral experience;

(5) Have a research background in the relevant fields of our recruitment direction, publish a certain number and quality of academic papers in these fields, have development potential, outstanding performance, and belong to the best among young scholars of the same age.
