On April 28, the third edition of China's topic rankings was published by Times Higher Education (THE), one of the top four university rankings in the world. As a result of its continuous work in stomatology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology received an A rating.
The Times Higher Education World University Impact Ranking is the only global ranking that evaluates universities' progress in terms of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In fiscal 2022, a total of 1,524 universities representing 110 nations and regions took part in the rankings, an increase of 23% from the previous year. On the list of 18 domestic universities, 12 institutions have grades of A- or higher.
Times Higher Education has published the World University Rankings annually since 2004 and is considered one of the most influential world university rankings, which has attracted much attention from the global higher education community. According to the topic classification of the Chinese Ministry of Education, the "China Subject Rating" is the sole performance chart that contrasts Chinese colleges with universities throughout the globe.The performance indicators were divided into five areas: teaching(learning environment), research (publications, income, and reputation), citation (research impact), international perspective (international faculty, international students, and international co-authors), and industry income (knowledge transfer). The judging panel focused on matching the research performance of each educational institution with theresults of the Global Reputation Survey. Two years in a row, Huazhong University Dental has received an A- rating, reflectingthe steady improvement of our global reputation and international influence.
